Like clockwork the Deep in the Burg weekly fix is upon us in audio and video. This one sees the return of the Yiso/ Asaph combination and you already know it's Charlie Zimbo on the beat.
I know some are going to label me a hater for this but Yiso seems to be the weakest link in the Burg Boiz clique. I first heard him on The Mcpotar EP (that was him, right?) then on Feathers and now here. Personally I think he is yet to find his style, the thinness of his voice requires him to do quite a number of backing vocal recordings otherwise it comes off sounding like a demo. That "leet" part didn't do any favours for him either. What I get from him is a The Weeknd type of vibe and if he finds a way to make it his own he'll go far.
Asaph came through on this track. In case you're still wondering what Bupta is it's Bulawayo United Public Transport Association (hence why the video was shot in a commuter omnibus), how's that for a concept?
We're two releases away from the end of Deep In The Burg Season 1 and you can't deny the consistency that has been maintained week in, week out on the releasing of the videos and audios (Friday for audios and Monday for videos).
