One thing I've noticed is that R. Peels seems to have a song out at any any given point in time for the past 3 years. Each year you're guaranteed to have at least an EP and an album from him. He's become a constant feature on my #reSPEKKThePlug playlist because of that.
Just when Landlord was about to die out he released Eke, which obviously is the first single for his forthcoming 4th album. Produced by Jermaine Jax, this is a beat reminiscent of UK Drill Music. With it's infectious hook, it has people not from Chitungwiza, doing the, "ndobva kwaSeke!".
No single is complete without visuals and the video came out like clockwork. One scene I didn't get was him standing on a bed carried by four people. Is that some royalty thing? If you do know please hit me up.
There's even a #EkeChallenge now. On the lookout for who might jump on that.
