If the name Q-Rigga doesn't sound familiar you may recall a track back in the day called " Bhogo Bhogo" with a guy with a deep voice. Remember now? If not stream Bhogo Bhogo below.
Right, now on to the track this article is intended for. You will be forgiven if you thought you hear Pee-Kay on this track, it's just Q-Rigga flexing his vocal cords with all sorts of pitches. This is an anthem for all the thick voluptuous females (slim ones we still love you too though). So turn up the volume and some thick som'ns to get down to this one.
Big Tings On Em is the lead single off Q-Rigga’s yet-to-be-titled upcoming mixtape. The offering is a party song that was produced, mixed and mastered by Jae Mac and is a fusion of Hip-Hop and Dancehall. The song sees Q-Rigga and Jae Mac rekindling their chemistry (no homo) following Jae Mac’s 2013 Hip-Hop/EDM single titled “Oxygen”.
Jae Mac will be the executive producer of Q-Rigga’s mixtape and the project will magnify Q-Rigga’s lyrical & creative abilities as he will be performing in English and Shona, at times on the same song. The project will also amplify Jae Mac’s production diversity as it will be a fusion of various genres with Hip-Hop. The duo, both managed by All-Star Entertainment, are finalizing Q-Rigga's mixtape which is scheduled for a September release this year.
All-Star Entertainment CEO Star Shaun had this to say about the project:
“This is one project that will not only certify Q-Rigga and Jae Mac’s position in the industry but also enhance the appeal of Zimbabwean music that has been grossly criticized for not being able to produce international quality material. It’s shocking if I tell you that Q-Rigga and Jae Mac made Oxygen via voice notes over Whatsapp as Jae Mac was based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and Q-Rigga in Klerksdorp and never had a studio session together, so the two of them being together for a full project and others that they are working on is sure to produce wonders especially when you look at the meticulousness that is being applied.”
Big Tings On Em marks an end to a hiatus that Q-Rigga took from music, meaning that every song hereinafter is sure to be a ‘BIG TING’
